Kids Lessons
Thanks to Paddles, our water safety mascot, your kids are in safe paws with us! We offer classes for all ages at the Aqualand Swim School in Queenstown at Wanaka Community Swim School we offer classes for those over the age of 3 years.

SCHOOL TERM SWIM CLASSES
Our school term swim classes run for 8-10 weeks each term in both Queenstown and Wanaka. Our school age levels cater to all ages and abilities with free swim assessments available to ensure your child is put into the right group for their ability right from the start (To read more about our different class levels click here). Work your way through all the strokes: Breaststroke, Freestyle, Backstroke, and Butterfly. Swimmers will have a progressive set of goals to achieve and will receive a certificate at the completion of each term.
Classes cost $95 per term, based on a 10 week term.
Term 1: February 7 – April 16
Term 2: May 2 – July 16
Term 3: August 1 – October 10
Term 4: October 24 – December 17
SCHOOL HOLIDAY SWIM PROGRAMME
Alpine Aqualand’s Holiday Swim Week will be running from 19-23 December inclusive and Wanaka Community Pool’s will be running from 23-27 January. Our intensive swim weeks are a fantastic way to rapidly build your child’s swimming skills in a warm and encouraging environment, getting them ready for a safe summer by the lake. Just $47.50 per child - includes five morning classes of up to 30 minutes, depending on their ability, plus free entry to pool. PRIVATE LESSONS
We can also offer your children private lessons, allowing us to provide you with the complete attention of one of our highly qualified swim instructors. They also enable your child you to focus their attention on exactly what they need to work on with your swimming. Private lessons also provide a safe and supportive environment for those who, for whatever reason, have never learnt to swim. To register, click here.
Pre-School classes
Introduce your pre-schooler to the wonderful world of swimming! Our fun programme and awesome instructors will allow your pre-schooler to discover the water independently and gain confidence whilst learning how to enjoy the water safely. Baby Classes
It's never too early to learn! Babies love water and getting them
in the water early means they will gain a life long skill. Classes are
conducted with mum or dad in the water so take this opportunity to bond
with your child and improve their water confidence. Suitable for children aged 6-36 months. While in classes and swimming, Aqualand Swim School recommends the use of Huggies Little Swimmers, available at reception. To view our different class levels, click here. To register, click here.
ABILITIES PROGRAMME
Our abilities programme provides lessons in a supportive and fun environment for young people with special needs or disabilies with our qualified abilities swim instructors. Funding for this programme can be obtained from the Halberg Trust’s Activity Fund Grant. To register, click here.
