Kids Duathlon
The Subway Kids Duathlon series gives all kids from 6 - 14 years old the chance to compete in a safe, fun and supportive environment. The course consists of a bike section followed by a run. A transition area will allow for entrants to have their race gear ready prior to the race start, and for teams to tag their other team member. Individuals and teams will start in waves according to their categories. All divisions will race in the confines of Lake Hayes. Prize Giving and Prizes will commence approximately 30+ minutes after the last event. Bring a picnic lunch to make the most of a great day. Lots and lots of prizes are up for grabs, thanks to our sponsors incl. placings and random spot prizes! Race will take place rain or shine! Most importantly, BE SAFE and HAVE FUN!! NO DOGS PLEASE!
Lakes Hayes Pavilion - 10.00am start
6 and under (+ parents race!) – Run 500m Bike 500m
7 & 8 year olds – Run 1km Bike 1km
9 & 10 year olds – Run 1km Bike 2km
11 & 12 year olds – Run 2km Bike 3km
13 + year olds – Run 2km Bike 3km
General Information:
- Bike, Helmet and comfortable running shoes are compulsory
- Bikes must be in good condition and helmet must be fitted properly
- Once checked at registration, teams and individuals must place their bike and race gear in the transition area.
- Team participants will be required to tag inside the transition area.
- Entry fee includes a special Tee-shirt to be worn on the day
