Warbirds Over Wanaka
Welcome to Warbirds Over Wanaka (WOW) 2010!
WOW is unlike any other aviation event - the mountain scenery and amphitheatre provide a stunning backdrop to an extravaganza of action over 3 days.
This is one of the four top Warbirds Airshows in the world where you will see some of the most famous Warbirds join forces with the classic aircraft of yesteryear and the modern jets of today, to present a three-day extravaganza of aviation attractions.
At Warbirds Over Wanaka you are so close to the continuous action you feel like you are in the pilot's seat.
During the weekend you will see Warbirds, modern jets, helicopters, aerobatic displays and much more! Static displays of Warhorses (military vehicles), vintage machinery, an Aviation Trade Expo and market stalls will provide you with plenty to see on the ground. Taste wine and food from Central Otago, make use of the special children's area and creche.
It's also a chance to purchase memorabilia of the Airshow and your stay in Wanaka. Parking options will include park and ride or onsite.
