SPONSORSHIP

As a good corporate citizen, Lakes Leisure budgets to support activities that encourage the social, cultural, economic and environmental wellbeing of the community it serves.

This sponsorship is on an “in kind” basis meaning that Lakes Leisure will provide services or facilities to successful applicants and not charge for some or all of the services/facilities provided. As Lakes Leisure is a not for profit organisation it does not provide cash sponsorship.

All sponsorship decisions are made by the Lakes Leisure Communications Manager and CEO. Lakes Leisure reserves the right to accept or decline any sponsorship application without giving any reason. No correspondence in relation to decisions will be entered into.

KEY CRITERIA FOR SPONSORSHIP CONSIDERATION

Local organisations based in the Queenstown Lakes District, or national organisations with a local branch are more likely to be successful in applying for Lakes Leisure sponsorship.

Community based, volunteer and not for profit organisations delivering services in the Queenstown Lakes District are more likely to be successful in applying for Lakes Leisure sponsorship.

Local individuals, competing in team or individual sports at a national level, that can demonstrate a genuine need for support and a strong commitment to their sport will also be considered for sponsorship. To view who Lakes Leisure currently sponsors, please click here.

Sponsorship will not be considered for organisations whose aims Lakes Leisure considers are incompatible with those of Lakes Leisure. Sponsorship will not be provided retrospectively

PROMOTIONAL & MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES

Sponsorship approvals and suitable promotional material may be made public as part of Lakes Leisure’s internal and external communication or for marketing purposes.

Wherever possible recipients of Lakes Leisure sponsorship will acknowledge the receipt of sponsorship and promote Lakes Leisure objectives.
