Q. Do I have to pay a joining fee to join Alpine Health and Fitness?
A. No, there is no joining fee to become a member of Alpine Health and Fitness.

Q. I don’t want to use the swimming pool – can I get a discounted Fitness Pass just for Alpine Health and Fitness?
A. No, a “gym-only” pass is not available. All Fitness Passes are fully inclusive of all services offered by Alpine Health and Fitness.

Q. Can I use my Fitness Pass to participate in classes and activities organised by community groups?
A. Your Fitness Pass entitles you entry to participate in those activities provided by Lakes Leisure Limited only. Fees will still be payable directly to community groups providing activities at QEC.

Q. If I have an individual pool pass for Alpine Aqualand, Arrowtown Memorial Pool or Wanaka Community Pool what happens if I want to upgrade to a Fitness Pass?
A. To upgrade your existing individual Alpine Aqualand, Arrowtown Memorial Pool or Wanaka Community Pool pool pass you must first select the type of Fitness Pass you wish to purchase. We will calculate the remaining pro-rata value of your pool pass between the date of expiry of your pool pass and the date that Alpine Health and Fitness opens for business. This amount will be subtracted from the cost of your Alpine Health and Fitness “Fitness Pass”.

To work out your upgrade credit:

Value of pool pass
_______________

=      Cents per day

365 days

Cents per day x # of days overlap = credit amount

Example 1:
Janice’s 12 month pool pass expires 1 November 2009. The pass cost $315, which equates to 86 cents per day. Janice decides to upgrade her pool pass to a 12 month Prepaid Fitness Pass. Alpine Health and Fitness opens 24 October 2009. This equates to 8 days in overlap of service. 8 days multiplied by 86 cents equals $6.88. Janice will receive a $6.88 credit towards the cost of her 12 month Fitness Pass.

$315
______________

=      86c per day

365 days

86c    x    8 days overlap   =  $6.88 credit

Example 2:
Alan has a 3 month adult pool pass which cost $104 expiring 15 December 2009

$104
_______________

=      28c per day

365 days

28c per day    x    52 days overlap  =  $14.56

Therefore Alan will receive $14.56 credit towards the cost of his Alpine Health and Fitness “Fitness Pass”.

Q. If I have a Family pool pass for Alpine Aqualand, Arrowtown Memorial Pool or Wanaka Community Pool what happens if I want to upgrade to an Alpine Health and Fitness “Fitness Pass”?
A. It is possible to upgrade your Alpine Aqualand, Arrowtown Memorial Pool or Wanaka Community Pool pass to include access to the Alpine Health and Fitness. Fees payable are dependent on a number of factors. Please contact Manager Richie Heap to discuss your specific situation on 450 9126 or richie@lakesleisure.co.nz.

Q. Can I put my Fitness Pass on hold?
