Welcome to the latest edition of At Your Leisure, your connection to leisure, recreation, venues and entertainment in the Southern Lakes.
There’s just two more sleeps till Christmas! Kids, there’s just two more days to get your photo taken for free with Santa at Santa’s Grotto at the Remarkables Park Town Centre. While you’re there you can vote for your favourite tree - Paddles the Polar bear has decorated one and he reckons it’s the best one - but it’s up to you of course!
Over the holidays the Lake Hayes Christmas Triathlon/Duathlon is being run by Active QT on Tuesday 27 December with options available for all fitness levels. Then on New Year’s Eve we’ve got the HRV Twenty/20 Cricket – Otago Volts vs Wellington Firebirds coming to the Queenstown Events Centre from 2pm. The game boasts a great line up of both BlackCaps and domestic players on each team!
Have wonderful Christmas and New Year and we look forward to seeing you in 2012 – if you feel like a dip or a work out over the holidays Alpine Aqualand, Alpine Health & Fitness, Wanaka Pool and Arrowtown Pool will be open every day except Christmas and New Year’s Day – for detailed opening hours, click here. More importantly for her complete dedication to change including a physical, mental and social reinvention. She has been awarded a $1,500 prize package thanks to
Sofitel Hotel, Hush Spa and The Shoe Clinic.

memberships for significant achievements. Special mention must go to
Orla who has lost 33kg this year at Lakes Leisure - 20kg in the Big Bods
