Lakes Leisure Limited has announced it will be delivering a year round learn to swim service for the community at the new Alpine Aqualand.
The classes will begin in Term 3 this year and cater for babies through to adults. “A water safety programme for schools will be implemented to enhance the delivery of teaching the life skill of swimming for the children in our community” said General Manager Aquatics Cam Sheppard.
Strong relationships are being formed with the local swimming clubs to support their competitive swimming training programmes and enhance the sport of swimming in the Wakatipu district, he said
Fees and charges for pool hire have been set at cost recovery for community and cost recovery plus 25% for commercial bookings.
An opportunity will be made available for external commercial operators to request access from Term 4 this year.
