AQUATIC OPEN DAY HUGE SUCCESS
12 May 2008 - Sophie
Saturday’s public open day held at the Queenstown Events Centre for the new aquatic facility Alpine Aqualand is being hailed as a huge success.
“Over 1200 people visited the complex during the two hour session” said Alpine Aqualand General Manager Cam Sheppard. “The response was very positive with feedback that the $18.1 million had been well spent”.
“Children were lined up to visit the hydroslide mountain and play with the water guns. There was a real sense of fun and excitement in the air” Mr Sheppard said.
For those with an interest in machinery there was the opportunity to inspect the state-of-the-art plant room with its filters and pool treatment systems.
Training and venue commissioning sessions commence this week prior to the opening on 31 May.
