Children’s Programmes
Our children’s programmes offer kids the chance to learn valuable skills, meet new friends and most of all have fun! Programmes include:

- Get Rocked – Kids Climbing Classes
- All Sorts Sports
- Birthday Pool & Climbing Parties
School Holiday Programme
Our School Holiday Programme, catering to 5-12 year olds, offers different activities each day to keep the kids entertained from 8.30am to 3.30pm, or 5.10pm. Prices start at $22 per child with some activities costing extra.
The programme is split into two groups:
Juniors 5–7 yrs | Seniors 8–12 yrs

Bookings: To secure a spot for your child, drop by the Queenstown Events Centre reception desk or call 03 450 9005.
Children have the option to either bring a packed lunch or purchase pies and pizzas from holiday programme staff, although packed lunches are recommended.
The
staff/child ratio will be no less than 1:10 and 1:8 on away days. Our
programme supervisors are over the age of 20 and leaders are aged 16 or
older.
Lakes Leisure is a member of the OSCAR network and is approved by
CYFS. This allows families on a low income to apply for financial
assistance through WINZ subsidies.
Booking Information:
• Bookings are essential and payment must now be made in advance.
• Bookings can be made at Lakes Leisure reception or by calling 450 9005 with your credit card details.
• Bookings will only be confirmed upon receipt of payment.
• NO REFUNDS will be given for absences or amendments. Extenuating circumstances will be considered for credit.
• If applying for an Oscar subsidy please make your booking directly with Jendi Paterson, Community Programmes Coordinator, on 03 450 9103.
• Limited numbers accepted for all sessions.
• A waiting list system will operate once days are booked out.
OSCAR APPROVED
We are an Oscar accredited programme. Families are able to apply for the Oscar subsidy through WINZ. We encourage families to apply for this subsidy as it can reduce the cost dramatically. If applying for an Oscar subsidy please make your booking directly with Jendi Paterson, Community Programmes Coordinator, on 03 450 9103 or jendi@lakesleisure.co.nz.
PRICE
• Day Session: Juniors $22, Seniors $25, unless otherwise indicated
Late sessions (to 5.10pm) $10.
• Strictly all payments in advance. Additional costs required where indicated.
PROGRAMME HOURS
• Day Session: 8.30am - 3.30pm. Children can be dropped off between 8.30am and 9.30am. Please do not come later than this as it is very disruptive for the group.
• Late Session: 3.30pm - 5.10pm SHARP. Please collect your child/ren on time.
OTHER INFO
• Located at Queenstown Events Centre unless otherwise indicated.
• Packed lunches are recommended however $3.00 pies, $2.50 pizzas and $1.20 ice blocks are available. Please order in the morning with the Supervisors.
• The staff/child ratio will be no less than 1:10 and 1:8 on away days.
• Please name all clothing, lost property will be held for two weeks after the programme finishes before being taken to Happiness House.
• Please do not bring valuables to the programme including iPods, PSPs, jewellery or money.
get Rocked – Kids Climbing COURSES:
Our Get Rocked Kids Climbing Courses, designed for 8-12 year olds, run for 8 weeks each term and cost $80 per term. There’s a limit of 8 kids per class, so we run five sessions per week:
• Tuesdays 4.00pm-5.30pm
• Tuesdays 5.30pm-7.00pm
• Wednesday 4.00pm-5.30pm
• Wednesday 5.30pm-7.00pm
• Thursday 4.30pm-6.00pm

All sorts sports
Spark your child’s love of sport!
Aimed at kids aged 4 – 7 years old, this programme will introduce your child to basic sports skills using the latest soft touch sports equipment. Programmes run in both Arrowtown and Queenstown.

ROCK CLIMBING BIRTHDAY PARTY
Want to try a birthday party with a difference? Bring a group of 6-12 kids to come scale new heights and experience the thrill of a rock climbing birthday party! Minimum age: 8 years.
Climbing Costs: $8 per child including hire equipment, with the birthday child climbing free, plus $50 per party for two hours of belaying and instruction by our qualified instructor.
Room Hire: You can also book one of our function rooms to enjoy your own birthday party food. Prices start at $15 per hour.
