Community and Recreation
Lakes Leisure offer fantastic sports and leisure activities for all ages. Presently we offer the following programmes:
- Basketball
- Children’s Rockclimbing Classes
- Children’s Tennis Lessons
- 6-Aside Cricket
- Volleyball
- Children’s Holiday Programmes
We continually work with local community groups to develop new and innovative leisure and social activities and sports leagues.
The Queenstown Events Centre also hosts the Queenstown Bridge Club, Arrowtown Badminton Club, Indoor Social Netball, Housie and children’s Mini Muscles classes.

Sports Equipment Hire
You can hire a range of sports equipment from reception at the Queenstown Events Centre.
Charges are as follows:
Children $1.00 per item
Adults $2.00 per item
Please note that for sports equipment hire, customers are also required to leave an item of value with reception which will be returned upon return of the undamaged hire item. Items of value may include a drivers licence or credit card.
