Connectabus now stops outside Queenstown Events Centre and Alpine Aqualand on Joe O’Connell Drive on its way to and from Lake Hayes Estate and Remarkables Park.

For bus timetables click here to link to the Connectabus website. Parking All onsite parking at the Queenstown Events Centre and Alpine Aqualand is available for patrons only. The Queenstown Events Centre has adopted some basic vehicle parking guidelines to ensure we provide a safe environment for all patrons. These are:

  • All cars must be parked in the dedicated car parks
  • No parking along either side of our entrance road, Joe O’Connell Drive
  • No parking on the sports fields or surrounding grassed areas
  • No parking on landscaped areas
  • No parking within the Drop Off/Pick Up Zone at the building’s entrance
  • No parking across Emergency Access Gates to main sports arena
  • No parking on designated Bus Parking area

Queenstown Events Centre Main Oval: Entry Conditions

Tickets bought for events held at the Queenstown Events Centre are governed by the following standards which are set to ensure the safety, comfort and enjoyment of all patrons. Stadium hirers may impose additional conditions for individual events.


Stadium Entry Terms and Conditions

Patrons may be refused entry into the Oval or be evicted if they:

  • Have no valid entry or accreditation pass
  • Deny permission for the inspection of themselves, bags or other items in their possession
  • Appear intoxicated / under the influence of drugs or exhibit disorderly behaviour
  • Fail to comply with security, gate staff or venue staff requests
  • Attempt to bring in prohibited items
  • Have been previously issued with a trespass notice that still applies
  • Throw items onto the playing surface, at players, spectators or members of staff employed or volunteering at this event
  • Enter onto the playing arena before, during or after the game
  • Engages in conduct which unreasonably interferes with the enjoyment of the event by the patrons, including fighting
  • Hamper or impede the conduct of the event

Any breach of the above conditions shall automatically revoke the Ticket Holders licence to remain at the venue and be liable for arrest and prosecution for the offence of the Trespass Act 1980 which is punishable on conviction by a fine up to $1000.00 or a term of up to 3 months imprisonment.

Items that ARE NOT permitted into the venue:

  • Alcohol not purchased at the venue
  • Open drink containers
  • Drinking containers larger than 1 litre
  • Glassware
  • Cans
  • Illicit drugs
  • Sound Amplifiers including loud inhalers
  • Animals, with the exception of seeing eye dogs
  • Furniture other than deck chairs
  • Weapons, fireworks missiles or other items considered dangerous
  • Skateboards, roller blades, scooters or bicycles
  • Signs or banners that are obscene, offensive or abusive
  • Any article which is likely to injure or annoy other persons, including chemical substances which give off noxious fumes or smoke
  • Dangerous Goods
  • Commercially produced takeaway food such as McDonalds, KFC, Subway, Pizza etc
  • Any other item that Venue Management determines may cause injury, public nuisance or inconvenience to any other person

Items that ARE permitted into the venue:

  • Sealed plastic water bottles that are no larger than 1litre in size
  • Empty plastic water bottles (that are no larger than 1 litre in size) to be filled using the venues water stations
  • Deck Chairs for use on the embankment
  • Picnic Hampers / Baskets
  • Chilly Bins

Smoking:

  • Smoking is not permitted in the Building, Stadium or Oval
